The TANC (Transformable Ambulatory Nuclear-powered Craft) is an all-terrain vehicle, supersonic jet and spacecraft rolled into one. Before Tom can test it in a controlled field, an international arms dealer kidnaps the TANC and Tom. To escape, Tom must fly the TANC through a battlefield of live artillery, missiles and jet fighters.
