This book cracks along and is best read with a large pinch of sea salt. The story is good fun although easily predicted. For a long time I was convinced that this could only be set in the secret corners of the Pacific yet instead we tour the Channel Islands in the 1950's.

If you are into sailing then this book talks your language - you will really enjoy it. If not then just go with the flow and the eddy. An odd mix of nautical detail and heated imagination.
